Tips On Working From Home
Women today understand the difficultly involved with trying to balance their home and work life with their children. Sometimes it seems that work activities or home life is always overlapping and causing problems. We have come up with the following tips to help you avoid some of the pitfalls involved with working at home.
Make a Schedule
Making a schedule can be the best thing to do. This will allow you to know exactly what amount of time is dedicate to work and what amount of time is dedicate to your children. Scheduling work at home will also give you a visual representation of upcoming activities and will help you avoid any conflicts that might arise. A work schedule will help you ease the pain of working from home and allow you more time with your children, just remember to stick with it.
Share Responsibilities
Sometimes home and work responsibilities can become overwhelming when you are a single mother. Learn to share you responsibilities with your children and they will actually enjoy it. If you include them in your work activates whenever possible they will not feel left out and you will get more done.
Leave Work at Work
Once you are done working for the day be sure to leave the work alone. Once you sit down for dinner let it be dinner time. Don’t sneak back in the office to check on your email or put off watching a movie with your child because you are taking a call from work. Let work stay work and home activities be your family time.
Dedicate Weekends to Home Activities
A good way to focus on home activates is to plan events for the weekends. Instead of getting up Saturday morning and checking your email and making phone calls, make breakfast. After that go to the park and do some fun, healthy activities with your children. Trust me, if you work from home it will be there when you get back.
Plan
Lastly always plan ahead. Don’t let unexpected work issues pop up and ruin your quality family time. Plan your work by creating schedules, sharing responsibilities and know when to leave work and spend time at home.
