Online Stock Trading Explained

The invention of the Internet has brought about many changes in the way that we conduct our lives and our personal business. We can pay our bills online, shop online, bank online, and even date online!

We can buy and sell stocks online. Traders love having the ability to look at their accounts whenever they want to, and brokers like having the ability to take orders over the Internet, as opposed to the telephone.

Most brokers and brokerage houses now offer online trading to their clients. Another great thing about trading online is that fees and commissions are often lower. While online trading is great, there are some drawbacks.

If you are new to investing, having the ability to actually speak with a broker can be quite beneficial. If you aren’t stock market savvy, online trading may be a dangerous thing for you. If this is the case, make sure that you learn as much as you can about trading stocks before you start trading online.

You should also be aware that you don’t have a computer with Internet access attached to you. You won’t always have the ability to get online to make a trade. You need to be sure that you can call and speak with a broker if this is the case, using the online broker. This is true whether you are an advanced trader or a beginner.

It is also a good idea to go with an online brokerage company that has been around for a while. You won’t find one that has been in business for fifty years of course, but you can find a company that has been in business that long and now offers online trading.

Again, online trading is a beautiful thing – but it isn’t for everyone. Think carefully before you decide to do your trading online, and make sure that you really know what you are doing!

The Secret Of Staying Organized While Working From Home

If you are like me and work from home then you probably find it difficult to stay organized as well. With all the distractions and family interference all day it is a wonder we get any work done at all.

Well to help keep you organized try these great tips which help me to stay organized and focused.

One quick way to start organizing is to buy some organization items. Go down to your local office supply store and buy some folders, notepads and some folder organizers. Now put everything in to folders according to projects or task and file them in your folder organizer. Use your notepad for quick to do lists, tasks, reminders and scheduled events.

Another great thing to do if you work from home is to take care of any task or to do that comes up. Try and get it our of the way as soon as possible. This way they don’t pile up over time and you find yourself one day just overload with little things to do. This can be very frustrating because we all want to be productive and little, un-important tasks just seem to get in the way.

The last bit of advice I can give is use your Microsoft Outlook program to it’s fullest. If you are running the 2007 version it is great for keeping track of your calendar, tasks, contacts, emails, notes, folders and shortcuts. Outlook is a great tool and if you start using it everyday to it’s fullest potential then it will become second nature and you will find yourself not being able to work from home without it.

Now You Can Work From Home And Protect Your Data

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while but I had to buy an entirely new computer do to a major spyware and virus infestation. What I learned during this ordeal is that I am not a corporate IT guru. If something goes wrong with my computer or it gets infected I am not able to get it fixed.

While working from home is great you need to be careful of your computer and data. In the corporate world you have the technical expertise available to take care or all virus, spyware and adware problems. I can tell you from first hand experience that while working from home it is an entirely different situation. Here’s what happened…

About a 4-5 weeks ago I started seeing pop-ups more frequently. I didn’t think anything of it really as I’ve seen pop-ups before while working from home so I went on with filling out my surveys for money. Well it started getting to the point where I found myself closing them every two minuets and I was also getting very annoyed another week or so went by.

It was at this point that I started searching for a pop-up blocker. Now I wasn’t really sure on what I was looking for but I knew I wanted to stop the crazy pop-ups. I downloaded a tool bar program that promised to stop all pop-ups for free. I thought this would be good as I only had to look at the tool bar in my web browser and not the pop-ups all the time. Little did I know this was the beginning of the end for my poor computer.

Things got progressively worse from here on out. The next set of events that took place was that my computer was becoming real slow and unresponsive. It got the the point where I couldn’t do any work from home and this meant no extra money coming in. After talking to some people I found out that these so called tool bar pop-up blockers are nothing more then a wolf in sheeps clothing. I guess these tool bars are some of the worst things you can install on your computer. The ironic part is that I actually found the tool bar useful for searches and to tell the weather and things like that. The entire time it was stealing my information and slowing down my computer.

The final straw for me was when my bookmarks and homepage would change on me all the time. I would make my homepage MSN and the next time I went to visit it I would be sent to a website selling icons, smiley faces, ring tones and even sites of a more private nature if you know what I mean.

Come to find out all the issues I was having with my computer was related to spyware programs. I didn’t know it at the time but after talking with the IT manager at the office I was a little more educated as to what was happening.

He recommend that I re-install my operating system, he called it “nuking” the computer? Now I have no idea what all that is about but since my technical experience runs out at this blog I choose to buy a new computer instead. It was time for an upgrade and this seemed like as good reason to.

I asked him what I could do to prevent this from happening in the future and he said get a good anti-spyware program. He told me that once I get the new computer the first place I should go to is XoftSPY SE and download their spyware scanner. This way I would be protected from this happening again.

It has been about two weeks now of working from home with no pop-ups, tool bars, random web pages and my computer is faster then ever. If you are having any of the same problems as I had I would recommend checking out a good XoftSpy SE Scan to get your computer clean before it is too late.
